Nord Impact · Last updated: 11 May 2026Nord Impact ("we," "us," "our") operates the Nord Impact mobile app (the "App"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR.If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].1. Who we are
The data controller is Nord Impact, operated by Young-In Youn, based in Dublin, Ireland. We are responsible for deciding how and why your personal data is processed.2. What data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data when you use the App:Account data: your email address, and name if provided via Google sign-in.
Journey responses: your written answers to the guided discovery questions in the App — including reflections on your faith, career background, sense of calling, and what you feel is broken in the world.
Your North Star statement: the AI-generated statement produced from your journey responses, along with its explanation and 4C framework tags.
Stewardship Map data: your current role, company, sector, and years in role, along with the AI-generated career roadmap built from your North Star.
Check-in responses: your written responses to periodic reflection prompts (if you use this feature).
Usage data: basic app activity such as when you last opened the App, for the purpose of triggering check-in prompts.
We do not collect payment card details. Subscription payments are handled directly by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and are subject to their own privacy policies.3. Why we process your data and our legal basis
To provide the App's core services (generating your North Star, saving your journey, delivering check-ins) — legal basis: performance of a contract.
To improve the App (understanding how users engage with the journey) — legal basis: legitimate interests.
To communicate with you about account-related matters or updates — legal basis: legitimate interests.
We never sell your data. We never use your journey responses or North Star for advertising.4. Who we share your data with
We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each acts as a data processor under a contractual agreement with us:Supabase, Inc. (United States) — provides our database, authentication, and serverless functions. Data is stored on servers in the EU where possible. Supabase is GDPR-compliant and covered by Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.
Anthropic, PBC (United States) — provides the AI models used to generate your North Star statement and Stewardship Map. Your journey responses are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) — manages subscription state and entitlements. RevenueCat receives your app user ID and subscription status, but not your journey data.
We do not share your data with any other third parties unless required by law.5. How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your personal data — including journey responses, your North Star, and your Stewardship Map — is permanently deleted within 30 days.6. Your rights
Under GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to:Access the personal data we hold about you.
